I ve got the door panel peeled back as far as possible and i can get my hand on the cable that goes to the inside.
Chevy silverado door wont open from inside or outside.
However when it is in the unlocked position i still cannot open my drivers door from the inside or the outside.

He goes out about 3 pm to check it and the door is completely closed and will not open from the outside or the inside.
Be careful not to break the clips.

You can take a long screw driver of piece of drill rod and manipulate the lever that opens the latch to get the door open and make repairs as needed.
I tried from the inside and outside tried manually unlocking from inside as well as with key from outside.
And neither one would open with the inside or outside handle.
The lock on my door still goes up and down as if it can be locked and unlocked.
Roll the window down and carefully push the door panel away at the top right above the latch rear of door then look down inside the door at the latch and figure out which rod fell of the latch.
Manipulate the handles and check the linkage and latch release mechanism.
She started the engine back up put it into drive then park again and then the driver s door could be opened.
